Week Of The Young Child

    Event Details

    The week of the Young Child is an annual, nationwide celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the world’s largest childhood education association with nearly 100,000 members and a network of over 300 local, state, and regional affiliates. So come on out and celebrate with the Spring Garden Children’s Center, Southside Senior Center and the Easton Public Library - SS Branch

    FRIDAY, APRIL 9:

    WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD KICK OFF!!

    “A Family Games Nite” 7-9 pm

    School Age 2 presents the Kick Off program for the Week of the Young Child with A Family Games Nite in the Easton South Side Senior Center’s multi-purpose room.

    MONDAY, APRIL 12:

    “Children’s Visual Art & Science Exhibits — ALL WEEK

    Spring Garden Children’s Center, Inc. will begin their week-long celebration with exhibits from each classroom highlighting the diverse learning programs. Exhibits include Native American weaving textiles, Multi-sensory art; Fine art; and Science projects.

    Monday With A Sundae”

    Spring Garden’s children and students will begin their celebration with making their own ice cream sundaes.

    TUESDAY, APRIL 13:

    “Literacy Day” — 10 am

    Easton Public Library staff will be reading to our children in our Three and four Year Old classrooms.

    WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14

    Parent/Community/Intergenerational/Community Health Resource Fair

    Health Resource Fair — 3-6 pm

    A Parent/Community/Intergenerational Health Resource fair will be held in the South Side Senior Center’s Main Corridor.

    THURSDAY, APRIL 15:

    Parents’ “Healthy Start” Breakfast 6:30-8:00 am

    Healthy breakfast selections will be set up in the courtyard for parents to service themselves as they drop off their children at the center.

    FRIDAY, APRIL 16:

    “Staff Appreciation Day”
